Pray About Everything

Pray about everything! I’m telling you that is the way to live. I used to think that since I have such a great ability to reason that I should use that ability to make decisions. After all why else would I need such an ability. Though reasoning well can be a good thing, there is no point in making decisions all on my own. The Holy Spirit is right here inside me ready to help me with everything and my reasoning can come up with the wrong conclusion. So I’ve gotten to the point now where I pray about almost every decision I make and boy does my life go better. Recently I’ve prayed about everything from what to get my grandson for his birthday to what mascara to buy to give my husband wisdom on how to fix our only vehicle. My grandson loved his present and my mascara is great and our car works fine! :) And all the other stuff I’ve prayed about has also worked out well. By prayer I hope you understand I mean simply talking to God. The prayer doesn’t have to be big and long with a holy sounding voice. And God is not upset nor does he have more to do than help me pick out mascara. He cares about every detail of our lives and he’s certainly big enough to handle all the big things in the world as well as other peoples serious requests and menial ones. We cannot compare his ability to ours. He’s the God that created the universe, he can handle it all. And he loves us enough to do it. Also he’s happy when his kids value his wisdom enough to ask for it. I Thessalonians 5:17 NLT Never stop praying. In the Amplifies version it says “be unceasing and persistent in prayer.” If God is saying I want you to talk to me all the time I’m sure means it. So try it, pray about everything, you’ll be amazed.
